FUN NEVER STOPS.

This weekend was a really fun weekend. I went to Central with my roommate and another friend. We had so much fun, I got to meet a lot of people from her hometown and she got to meet a lot of people from my hometown. It overall turned out to be a great time before I go home to see my family for Thanksgiving. I also got to see my sister for one day, I miss her a lot since we go to different schools. Now im back at at school and getting back in the swing of things with my school work. I cant wait to eat soooo much food!! YUM

Makeup!

This is one example of my fashion blog that I started for project number three. I used all the tips I learned from the other fashion blogs I took notes about. I really tried to make it as colorful as possible, and to make sure it wasn’t too long. I learned that if I made it too long I could potentially make it boring where the reader would stop reading. I chose Mac makeup because I knew a lot about that makeup, and I use it personally so I know how it works, it is one my favorite makeup brands!

Winding Down- Project #3

The weekend is coming to an end and I am now almost finished with project number 3. As I’m finishing up the assignment I thought this one was a bit hard. It took a lot to go through all the articles and to come up with my own. I do love fashion blogs so I was excited the different things I learned and how I got to experience writing them. I also did take a look at other people genres to get an idea of how their presentations were going to turn out, and what to expect when they were going to present next week.

Fashion Blog

I am doing a fashion blog for my genre project. It thought it was going to be difficult but as I continued to work at it I found many interesting things in my research. It is now coming along so much better. It is going to take me awhile to get it perfect, but I am setting aside enough time everyday to really make sure I am able to complete the project the right way without cramming it all at the end. There are so many fashion blogs I have came about and its really fun because I get to not only see how to write this genre, but also see a bunch of different fashions that come from all around the world.

Colored Girls

I attended the play Colored Girls. I have watched this movie in the past so I thought it was the perfect opportunity to watch the play. I thought the play was great, it had the perfect actresses to bring the story to life. In the beginning I was a little confused just because I had the movie version stuck in my head but over all it couldn’t have been better! The emotional vibe that I got off from the play made it that much better. The put it in good perspective of how colored girls got treated and what they had to go through to be as strong as they could be. I would recommend anybody to watching this play because I enjoyed it that much.

Congrats!

Over the weekend my mom got to go to Vegas with a bunch of my family and get married! I was kind of bummed I wasn’t able to go but I am so happy for her, she is so excited! While the wedding was going on I got to log on the computer and watch. It was the cutest thing to see my mom all dolled up, and about to start her new life with my new step dad! I really like him he’s really nice and his side of the family are such a great addition. I now have two-step brothers and a stepsister who are amazing as well we all get along great! I wish I could have been there, but CONGRATS MOMMMY!

God Grew Tired Of Us

In my FYE class I just finished reading such a great book. Its called God Grew Tired Of Us. It is about the lost boys from Sudan. I didn’t think it was going to be a good book but I ended up enjoying it. It was really interesting to read about what they went through when they were on their trip to the United States. Although they all didn’t make it to the United States the ones who did had a great success. It really taught me to look outside the box and realize there are so many people out there who are not as fortunate as we are here in the United States. It also showed me how hard someone can work when they really want something. I recommend this book to anyone, its great!
